The £46,000 grant will significantly boost Greener and Cleaner’s ‘Repair and Resilience Bromley’ project, building on the charity’s successful pilot work to offer free repair skills workshops and mending clinics in the borough.
Greener and Cleaner was delighted to be part of a panel at the Tunbridge Wells Climate and Nature Fair yesterday, sharing some of the charity’s learnings from its successful four-year Community Hub pilot.

This week, Greener and Cleaner harnessed its Community Hub in Bromley’s The Glades shopping centre to show a vital new film from the National Emergency Briefing.
As well as enjoying the workshops, brainstorms and panels of others, our senior leadership team – Clare Searle, Tamasin Rhymes and Parisa Wright – brought together an interactive panel of experts from across government, third sector and research for a session.
Greener and Cleaner was asked to share some of our experiences around inclusive peer-to-peer community engagement at the event – both at our Community Hub in Bromley and in the wider communities of South East London over the past few years.
ITV and BBC both covered our Energy Champions’ work in the news this week – both our collaboration with the Library of Things to loan out thermal imaging cameras, and our free energy advice sessions and home visits.
The Greener and Cleaner team were thrilled to receive an award in the Climate for Good category. CEO Clare Searle, said: “Being in a room and recognised alongside household sustainability and ethical business brands was an amazing feeling.”
