This month sees the launch of a new Community Energy toolkit, with help from Greener and Cleaner.
The ‘Community Energy: Reaching Wider Communities’ toolkit was organised by the Centre for Sustainable Energy and published by the Energy Learning Network. Greener and Cleaner was part of the small steering group that fed into its creation.
The aim of the toolkit is to help community energy groups increase their impact through the greater involvement of people from across their communities.
It is an important and interactive effort to distill what grassroots projects, community stakeholders and national organisations have learnt so far, and will help engage and empower a far wider range of people in essential local projects.
Greener and Cleaner’s Parisa Wright says: “Energy sits at the intersection of the nation’s significant cost of living, health and environmental pressures. Inclusive and accessible community energy and community energy efficiency projects are key to a fair green transition here in the UK. It was a privilege to represent Greener and Cleaner on the steering group that fed into this toolkit.”
