Greener and Cleaner’s Community Hub hosts a special screening of the new film from the National Emergency Briefing.
This week, Greener and Cleaner harnessed its Community Hub in Bromley’s The Glades shopping centre to show a vital new film from the National Emergency Briefing.
The film unites leading experts to present the latest evidence on the climate and nature crisis to politicians and other influential people in Westminster. It sets out the risks facing the nation under the climate crisis, and the credible, positive responses available. Clear and accessible, it is designed for screenings in communities across the UK.
Alongside the screening, Greener and Cleaner hosted a discussion at the Community Hub.
The charity’s founder, Parisa Wright, spoke passionately on what we can do to effect real and meaningful change. Insurance actuary, Natasha Saunders, discussed the financial impact on real people, as we as the power of choice and how we can hold companies to account on their environmental commitments. And local headmaster, Stephen Jackson, highlighted the possible health and finance impacts for local families and described just how engaged the next generation are in fighting the climate crisis.
We highly recommend community groups, faith groups, schools and other community stakeholders join us and hundreds – if not thousands – of others across the UK in organising a screening local to them.
