To mark the day, Greener and Cleaner is excited to be part of UCL’s Sustainability Leadership Conference.
The Sustainability Leadership Conference brings together students, experts, and organisations to discuss the climate crisis and how we can tackle it. This year, we were thrilled to join the Environmental Justice and Intersectionality Panel, focusing on climate and its intersectional impacts and solutions in the UK.
We discussed how environmental challenges and climate change intersect with social inequalities related to race, gender, class, disability, and global location.
We also considered how universities, institutions, and future leaders can embed environmental justice principles into decision‑making, research, and leadership practice.
It was great to be involved in these important and thought-provoking conversations.
