Help for your PTA

As a charity ourselves, we understand the need to raise funds for the “greater good”. PTAs work incredibly hard to put on fun and engaging events to get the school community involved. Many are also able to support the school with greener and cleaner changes they want to implement.

Schools eco ideas and support group

Greener and Cleaner run a specific Facebook group for schools and PTAs who would like to be greener and cleaner. This is in addition to the Greener and Cleaner Bromley and Beyond Facebook group many of you will be familiar with.

GCBB Schools Eco Ideas & Support Forum

A group to help share ideas, tips and practical advice and, importantly, to help connect like-minded individuals who are passionate about working with / within their schools; to help them reduce their environmental impact; and to help them engage the full range of school stakeholders, from senior management to pupils and even the local community, in the process!

The schools group is full of posts specifically related to PTAs and schools with likeminded people sharing experiences, so you don’t have to wait for one of our face-to-face events, you can ask and discuss in the GCBB Schools Eco Ideas & Support Forum group.

Schools’ Eco Ideas Swap Event

The Greener and Cleaner Schools Eco Ideas Swap Event, brings together local schools and PTAs face-to-face to share their green changes and identify easy wins for reducing environmental impact.

School representatives and experts present their efforts, experiences and top tips to inspire vital changes – working together towards a healthier environment for children and staff now and in the future. It’s a fantastic networking opportunity for attendees to connect with and help each other out.

We had over 40 schools from Bromley, Croydon, Greenwich and Lewisham attend our last event, you can read our previous event notes online.

The next event will be advertised in the GCBB Schools Eco Ideas & Support Forum Facebook Group. We hope to see you there.

Zero Waste PTA UK

There is also Zero Waste PTA UK Facebook group that may be helpful. This is not run by Greener and Cleaner and we have no responsibility for the content provided.

Do you speak carbon?

A real eye-opener, Carbon Literacy training dramatically opens up the discussion around why it’s so important and what it really means. Learn about climate change and what you can do about it in a completely new way. Leaving participants with the first easy steps they can take to reduce their carbon footprint, you’ll feel empowered to move forward.

Costs vary depending on the number of participants and we do offer a charity rate. Please contact us for further information.
