Meet our trustees
Carrie Heitmeyer
Carrie currently works in science policy and academic engagement. She strongly believes in the importance of community and participatory processes in ensuring we can work together towards improving the future of our planet.
A social scientist by training, Carrie is excited to work with Greener and Cleaner and explore how we can use research to capture new models for promoting community engagement with nature and the environment, and to improve awareness around the need for a more sustainable and equitable future.
Kevin Withane
Kevin has a background in corporate law, and currently leads the Asia and Americas legal teams at a FTSE250 company. Additionally, Kevin is an investor, DE&I and sustainability advocate and the Founder of Diversity-X.
Kevin is focussed on supporting underestimated founders of purpose-led startups solving real-world problems and seeking to make the world a better place. Kevin is deeply passionate about building a sustainable, inclusive world.
Kate Rhule
Kate currently works in corporate governance and has a background in policy and project management. She became passionate about sustainability whilst at university, and was excited to discover a large community of like-minded people in her local area through Greener and Cleaner.
She believes how we choose to live has local and global impacts, and that collectively we have the power to realise positive change for everyone’s benefit. In her spare time, she can be found enjoying a walk in the many green spaces we have on our doorstep in Bromley.
Maria Staines
Maria took up her role within Greener and Cleaner as she felt passionately about our need to make changes within our communities to improve our environment.
She is a mother of two children and works part time as a pharmacist within the NHS. Her awareness of planetary health, and how it impacts our own health and that of our children, pushes her to do what she can to make change a reality. She loves gardening, music, crafting, wildlife and connecting with others to build strong communities. The growth of Greener and Cleaner over the years gives her hope in the future and strength to strive for better together.
Sumedha Bhalla
With over 15 years of experience in the financial services industry, Sumedha has built a career helping others navigate complex systems.
Outside the office, she’s a devoted mum with a passion for the environment and the great outdoors—having even completed the trek to Everest Base Camp. When she’s not hiking, she can often be found refining her knitting skills, learning the (humbling) art of gardening, or squeezing in episodes of House whenever life allows.
Michael Blake
Michael is a senior leader within Google’s Global Data Centers team, where he focuses on transforming large-scale infrastructure projects into engines for regional economic and social mobility. His work centers on the ‘Good Neighbor’ philosophy, managing multi-million dollar community investment portfolios that prioritise STEM education, digital literacy, and sustainable local development.
A dedicated advocate for inclusive growth, his passion is creating accessible pathways for underrepresented populations. By bridging the gap between global technology investment and local community needs, he wants to ensure that the digital economy serves as a catalyst for long-term, place-based prosperity and equitable opportunity.
Our senior leadership team
Parisa Wright
Founder, Chief Vision Officer and Head of Partnerships
With 20 years’ experience in media law, a passion for problem solving, and two small children to inspire her, Parisa is passionate about raising awareness and bringing people together to make simple but impactful green changes at a local level.
Her mixed Persian heritage and lived experience has highlighted how her family and many other Middle Eastern, African and Asian families are disproportionately affected by high carbon lifestyles and climate change. It fuels her drive to normalise sustainable living for everyone and make practical support accessible, inclusive and appealing for all. She believes collaboration and partnership building at all levels is key to halving carbon emissions in the UK.
When Parisa’s not working or spending time with her family, she offers external support as a speaker, trainer and facilitator.

Clare Searle
Chief Executive Officer
Alongside Greener and Cleaner, Clare works as a Sustainability Consultant and has over twenty years of leadership experience. Her commitment to social justice is rooted in lived experience as a single parent in social housing, which has shaped her career.
Clare left a corporate leadership role in 2017 to focus on impact-led work. She has worked extensively with marginalised groups, from roles in DWP, to mentoring women/BAME-led businesses, to designing human-centred services across employability, health, and resettlement.
Clare combines strategic and operational expertise with experience to ensure programmes deliver meaningful, measurable outcomes for people, communities, and the planet.

Tamasin Rhymes
Programme and Impact Manager; Energy Project Lead
Tamasin oversees Greener and Cleaner’s Hub and project work, as well as managing the collection and monitoring of our impact data. She plays a vital role in building partnerships, and enjoys meeting and learning from other organisations in our community – the day-to-day of seeing us build a better world.
Tamasin joined Greener and Cleaner because she wanted to make her working hours part of the response to the climate emergency. She believes people-led, practical ways to help everyone make change is a vital step.
Teresa Rowe
Head of Finance and Governance
Teresa was born in South East London and has lived here ever since. She has always worked in finance and taxation, starting her career training with one of the top five UK accounting firms. She later progressed to consulting on business planning, administration and finance for a range of small businesses, whilst also running her own business in the leisure industry. She has worked with UK charities for 25 years and has studied Charity Finance and Accounting as a specialism through Bayes Business School at London South Bank University.
Teresa has a keen interest in local issues and community involvement, and is glad to be supporting Greener and Cleaner in both its community-powered Hub and further afield.

Charlotte English
Events and Repair Coordinator; Head of Crafts and Upcycling
Charlotte coordinates Greener and Cleaner’s events programme and our Repair Cafes in Bromley, as well as working with community groups wishing to hold events in the Hub. She hosts hands-based skills workshops, and loves to see the sense of achievement and pride in people who have learnt a new skill or achieved a task they didn’t think they could master.
Having been brought up in rural Ireland with a great community spirit and a mend, lend, hand-me-down and make-do ethos, Charlotte is grateful to be in a position to share her skills and enable people to combat fast fashion by learning how to mend, repair and upcycle their clothes and other possessions.
She loves the community spirit in the Hub and how it has come to mean so much to so many people, whilst helping to raise people’s awareness around all aspects of climate change.
Amy Lightfoot
Outreach Officer
Amy delivers Greener and Cleaner’s outreach, drives engagement, and develops and promotes our partnerships with other local groups. She loves going out and meeting the people doing so many amazing things in Bromley, using their skills, experience and vocation to make positive changes to the climate and community wellbeing.
Amy was previously a volunteer at Greener and Cleaner, supporting The Hub with impact-based workshops and attending events. She believes there is a magnitude of skill and experience within our communities and is committed to finding the best methods to support climate action in this way.
Rosie Nicholas
Fundraising Manager
Rosie supports Greener and Cleaner to do important work by connecting us to funding, donations and gifts – part of a wider strategy to help diversify our funding streams and maximise the opportunities we have through our wonderful community of supporters.
Rosie loves working in a team where everyone is super motivated and passionate to support the environment and their local community. The climate crisis can feel so big and so scary, and she’s proud to work somewhere that helps break down the steps and empowers people on an individual level, as that’s where real change can take place.
Tracey Wong
Project Support Administrator
Tracey provides administrative support across the entire team, including project coordination, process documentation, HR procedures, facilities maintenance, and a whole lot more. You’ll also see her at The Hub, lending a helping hand wherever it’s needed.
She loves being part of a team where she can broaden her skillset and try new things. Being part of the climate movement is more than just a choice – it’s called to her throughout her life, demanding attention to disrupt and reimagine our systems to enable a better world for everyone. She’s proud to join a global community that allows her to live by her values, as well as connect with others who are just as keen to protect both our people and our planet.
Amber Kim
18-25 Sustainability Hub Officer
Amber leads ‘Connect the Buds’, our youth programme. She co-designs and delivers community-focused public programmes for young adults, aged 18 to 25. Her work centres on creating inclusive and engaging opportunities that connect creativity, wellbeing and environmental sustainability.
Amber has experience developing creative events, workshops and placements that encourage young people to build confidence, skills and community connections. She enjoys working at Greener and Cleaner because of its creativity-driven community impact, and works closely with local organisations and practitioners to ensure programmes are accessible, collaborative and responsive to community needs.
Clare Tiley
Impact and Analysis Officer
Clare has spent much of her career in the third sector, specialising in impact research and evaluation. At Greener & Cleaner, she uses these skills to showcase the organisation’s positive influence on the environment and local community, and she loves being part of a team that helps people take practical steps towards more sustainable living.
Outside this role, Clare is a holistic therapist and keen nature explorer, teaching people of all ages about the medicinal and culinary benefits of UK native plants. Living in the Kent countryside, she enjoys exploring the North Downs, foraging, reading, and expressing her creativity — whether in the kitchen, her sewing room, or through her artwork.
Rebecca Hoskins
Communications and Marketing Officer
Rebecca looks after our communications and marketing, working across a variety of channels to help raise awareness of what we do, publicise our upcoming events and projects, and keep our fantastic supporters up-to-date.
With a background in journalism, Rebecca is thrilled to be part of Greener and Cleaner, and use her skillset to support a fantastic team that’s doing incredible things for our environment and our community, one step at a time.
Patrick Hoelscher
Hub Officer and Social Media Content Producer
Patrick supports the day-to-day running of the Hub, whilst helping to share the organisation’s work more widely.
His role in the Hub involves welcoming visitors, supporting activities, and ensuring the space remains safe, inclusive and accessible for everyone. He particularly enjoys interacting with people – introducing them to Greener and Cleaner, hearing their stories, and helping them feel part of the community.
Alongside this, he creates content that captures the impact of the Hub and brings its projects and people to life across social media. With a background in videography and creative storytelling, Patrick is interested in how engaging content can inspire positive change and encourage more sustainable ways of living.
Angela Hulm
Community Ambassador
Angela is a founder volunteer at our Community Hub, as well as an events assistant and energy advisor. Angela embodies zero waste living by focusing on buying nothing new and avoiding waste. She loves bringing people together, seeing the joy as friends from one group realise new connections.
As a member of Soroptimist International pursuing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, she wanted to help with climate issues in a coherent way, and Greener and Cleaner provides the perfect framework. Angela hosts meetings at The Hub by Environment Bromley, and supports the weekly Sewing Circle in West Wickham Library.
Mickey Durante
Volunteer Coordinator
Mickey is the Volunteer Coordinator at Greener and Cleaner, responsible for onboarding new volunteers and making sure everyone finds the best job for their skillsets. He is very passionate about community initiatives and mutual aid, with a focus on sustainable practices. With experience volunteering in many different organisations, Mickey loves to share ideas and resources across projects.
Mickey is an avid crafter with practice in calligraphy, digital design, crochet, sewing and face painting. In his spare time, Mickey runs two different GirlGuiding Brownie units and loves to play Dungeons and Dragons.
Zoë
Hub and Outreach Officer
Zoë has a passion for teaching and sharing skills within the community. Her role at Greener and Cleaner involves supporting activities at the Hub, engaging with visitors, and helping to deliver outreach initiatives that encourage more sustainable ways of living. Zoë has a wide range of creative interests, including knitting, crochet, sewing, and spinning wool, often using sustainable and scrap materials to create new work.
In her spare time, she enjoys foraging and sharing her knowledge, as well as visiting historic sites and reading. She values the strong sense of community at Greener and Cleaner.
Karen Bell
Graphic and Web Designer
Karen is our brand designer, website manager, Bromley Environment Network coordinator – and, most importantly, our volunteer face painter at events!
She loves to use her creative skills to make a meaningful contribution to a cause she cares deeply about, creating visual content that highlights environmental issues and promotes sustainable living, and captures attention and communicates messages in ways that words alone cannot.
Victoria Morris
Blueprint Officer
Victoria works with the team to produce a range of open source materials and templates to share all we have learned through our journey. Coming from a background in community development and environmental volunteering, with a deep commitment to sustainability and climate action, Victoria is excited to have a role that enables and supports groups nationwide to replicate the amazing impact of Greener and Cleaner in their communities.
Outside of her role, Victoria is a practising multimedia artist and ceramics tutor, focused on creating accessible community classes and workshops.
Andrew Stotesbury
Volunteer
Andrew leads two activities at Greener and Cleaner: the Environmental Film Cafe on Friday evenings and Art-in-Activism on Sunday afternoons.
A retired construction professional, Andrew’s past projects include St. Pancras Station, the new M2 motorway bridge and Spinnaker Tower. Volunteering at Greener and Cleaner has given him the opportunity to engage in community environmental activities, and he enjoys expanding collaboration between local environmental groups.
Alya Gribi
Energy Project Coordinator
Alya is committed to building spaces, physical and social, where people feel seen, supported and inspired to take action.
Whether through sustainable design, community events or everyday conversations, her aim is always to inspire and empower others and contribute to meaningful change.
