Ooh can just imagine husbands joy at his face jeans being brought back from the brink! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for sharing ☺️
For those who'd prefer to learn how to tackle these simple repairs themselves, we run low-cost workshops teaching these skills at the Croydon Textile Repair Cafe. greencroydon.co.uk/textile-repair-cafe/
I need a source for small dog toys that are indestructible, preferably ones that squeak. My Jack Russell Terrierist makes short work of anything we give her and this is just not environmentally friendly! Or cheap! We have a kong but it doesn’t squeak so she’s less interested in it. ... Following. I also have a terrier cross. She eats/ destroys every toy and bed we give her.
Our dog has a couple from the Kong Knots range. This is her favourite and it’s doing pretty well.
These last in our house, they have a squeaker in their head and bottom! They are slightly more expensive than a regular toy, but they are worth it. pethatestoys.com/collections/dog-toys
Kong tennis balls are great. My dog destroys normal tennis balls in minutes, but Kong ones last for ages (and they squeak)
I have a friend in West Wickham, Cecilia Garnett, whose son is making plaited tug toys out of donated t-shirts. Priced really well.
Castle Farm at Lullingstone (the lavender farm) have some made completely of leather. I've bought one for my Jack Russel for Christmas plus a Ruff n Tuff one from Pets at Home. I know he'll eventually destroy them but it should take a good few months!
I think tennis balls must have something in them that makes dogs destroy them my black lab loves walking past the tennis club
I just came here to say that your dog is adorable!!!! I have a Jack-Chi and he also destroys everything. Other than a bull horn (which he loves), he is not interested in anything that cannot be destroyed. Oh, on the note of tennis balls, the vet told me not to give him that as they are like sanding their teeth.
There are balls in b and m called scoobydoo balls. You get small and large. My very destructive dog finds it very hard to kill them, it takes him a few days/ weeks before he does depending on how long we let him have it.
Have you tried Kong squeeky tennis ball? Our kelpie loves it...every year he gets a new one for Christmas.
I too have a JRT and have found the chuck-it balls pretty tough. They used to sell recycled ones as part of a bundle of 3 - no squeak though. They are pricey, I now rely on the ball library of lost balls left by other dogs when we go to the park.
