Bromley Rotary Club’s annual Christmas collection took place in the two weeks leading up to Christmas. Partner charities included Caspa, Greener and Cleaner, The Maypole Project, Motorneurone Disease Association (MNDA), Scouts, Signature, St Christopher’s Hospice and St Vincent de Paul Society.
Greener and Cleaner Trustee, Mark Summerbell, dressed as Santa with a few elf sidekicks, drew crowds of people outside their homes on 22nd December. Although out of his comfort zone, Mark was welcomed by adults and children alike. He certainly lived up to a “jolly St. Nick”!
Trustee Kate Rhule, also collected alongside family and friends. It was a bit nippy, but they had smiles on their faces right to the end. “Bromley Rotary provided a fun and fantastic opportunity for us. We met local residents and raised funds to keep our work going” said Parisa Wright, Founder and Chief Executive of Greener and Cleaner.
Split between Bromley Rotary and Greener and Cleaner, around £700 was raised on the night of 22 December. Greener and Cleaner will use their share to continue to normalise a greener way of life and to support more free workshops at The Hub.
